The Arconia is one of the most important background characters in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. Its swoon-worthy entryway arch and larger-than-life apartments serve major luxe vibes that make it easy to forget it’s the scene of a murder mystery. While true-crime podcast enthusiasts Mabel, Oliver, and Charles (played by Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin) scour the Arconia for details into the suspicious death of their neighbor, viewers can’t help but be overcome by the beauty and opulence of the complex.

Nope. If you’re Googling the address for the Arconia, you will come up empty-handed. The murder mystery-meets-comedy is set at the Arconia, but the Belnord is the real name of the luxurious condominium.
Where is the Belnord actually located?
The Belnord is located at 225 W 86th Street on New York City’s Upper West Side between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.
Built in 1908, the Belnord is 13 stories tall and occupies one full city block. With over 200 units, the Belnord’s amenities include a fitness center, sport’s court, club lounge, dining room, children’s playroom, and a teen room. Not to mention there’s a 22,000 square foot courtyard and garden.
According to its
website, the Belnord is the "grandest" apartment complex. It has over six distinct residential lobbies, a private residential elevator, a grand, open staircase, and a private freight lift.

Only Murders in the Building began filming in December 2020. Steve Martin made jokes about his first day on set in a hilarious tweet.
