The 1st of April celebrated as April Fools all across the world is not only a fun day to prank our friends, but also for the brands to greet their users with some easter eggs. Games like World of Warcraft prank players by modifying the inventory of certain classes, which players often consider a bug. Likewise, games like Among Us, Apex Legends, and Pokemon Go have dedicated events to celebrate April Fools as well.

One of the biggest communities in the world, Reddit, hasn’t shied away from celebrating April Fools as well. However, unlike other brands, Reddit has stated that its event is “No Joke.”

If you have updated the Reddit app to the latest version, you might have seen that the logo of the app has changed. It now has a pixelated look, as compared to the solid design of the previous logo. This has got many people confused, and they are wondering if this is the new logo for Reddit. Well, it is the new logo, but only for a short period of time.

To celebrate April Fools this year, Reddit is bringing back r/Place all the way from 2017. So what exactly is r/Place? Well, for starters, think of it as a massive canvas comprising millions of tiles. Every Reddit user from across the world gets a chance to place tiles on this canvas, and contribute to filling the entire canvas. Back then, it was one of the biggest collaborative efforts ever, and it will be interesting to see what happens when the entire community of millions join together to create something. r/Place will be live until April 5th, midnight ET.
