“There’s layers to her.”
Cara Delevingne has opened up about her mysterious character in the second season of Only Murders in the Building.
The actress and model takes on the role of Alice Banks in the newly-premiered season, an English artist who develops romantic sparks with Selena Gomez’s character Mabel Mora.
While much is still under wraps, Delevingne promised “twists” to come in a recent interview, admitting that she was largely in the dark herself when making the show.

“When I was shooting it, I didn’t know about the trajectory,” she said at a press event (via Radio Times). “I didn’t know anything about what [Alice] was like, so I had to make my own assumptions and there are certainly things I definitely got wrong.
“But she’s an English artist who went to New York and is trying to prove herself… Art is a hard thing. It’s everyone’s own opinion so to do that you have to have blind ambition, confidence – she knows what she wants and she goes for it.”
Delevingne added: “But there’s layers to her. There are things that unravel as they do and twists and turns, which isn’t a surprise. It’d be boring otherwise.”
The star also teased that Alice will provide “dramatic relief” on the show.

The second season sees the return of Only Murders in the Building central trio Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short as the podcast obsessives, who start their own show after a suspicious death in their apartment block.
Alongside Delevingne, newcomers this season also include stars Amy Schumer and Shirley MacLaine.
Only Murders in the Building streams on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
