Meryl Streep is joining the cast of Only Murders in the Building. And no, this is not a drill.

Today, Selena Gomez posted a video on TikTok confirming that Streep will appear in the show’s third season.
In the video, Gomez explains that she’s on the set of Only Murders in the Building season 3 with her co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin. She pans the camera to show other cast members—like Paul Rudd—before returning to the original trio.
“Hey, guys! We’re on set,” Gomez says. “What are we shooting? Season 3. The gang’s all here. Could this honestly get any better?”
Rudd chimes in, “Well, I do think it can get a little bit better.”
Right on cue, Streep pops up in the background. *Breaks into happy dance*

Unfortunately, Hulu hasn’t announced any—we repeat, any—details about Streep’s involvement. However, her dialogue in the video might be a clue. “Steve, do you want a pillow?” she asks. And then adds, “Marty, anything you need?”
Perhaps Streep will play a super fan of the podcast, who volunteers to work for them as an intern? Or maybe she will play a helpful woman who moves into the building? Only time will tell.
