The better way to reduce consumption DIW,
the Scientific Research Center Forschungcentrum Yulisch, and the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) all agree that natural gas imported from Russia cannot be completely replaced by any other alternative, regardless of whether Germany has any took steps. Overall the point is that energy consumption should be reduced. For example, BDEW says that the energy used to heat homes and other places can be saved. Up to 10 percent of energy can be saved in the business and service sectors. At the same time, up to 15 percent of energy can be saved in private homes. DIW says that to reduce energy demand, ‘energy saving campaigns should be started as soon as possible. Also, other measures should be adopted.
